Checking tyre pressure

Tyre pressure is measured in pounds per square inch (psi) and the correct amount for your car should be listed in your owner's manual. Please remember that the measurements quoted for your tyre pressure will be based on the tyres being cool so, for an accurate reading, always ensure that the tyres are completely cold before measuring or adjusting their pressure.

  1. If your tyre pressure reading from the pressure gauge is below the recommended psi, inflate the tyre on a garage forecourt until the correct measurement is shown
  2. If you accidentally put too much air into your tyre, depress the pin at the centre of the valve to release some of the air

Your Diamond Club Tip:

Always remember to check the air pressure of your spare tyre too. So it's ready in case of an emergency.
