The Ultimate Girls Experience
Karen Rattray, a Clerical Officer for Glasgow City Council, treated her two best friends, Janice Peline and Nicola McAreavey to a luxurious weekend in Newcastle, staying at the magnificent Hotel Du Vin and having a day of sumptuous spa treatments in the Malmaison Petit Spa. The ladies also made the most of over £1,500 in spending money by hitting the best of the city's shops, restaurants and bars.
Here's what they thought of their weekend:
We had the best weekend ever thanks to Diamond and our ultimate girls experience!
We travelled down to Newcastle by first-class train which was great and once we arrived we began our day going for a walk along the quayside and then headed into the city centre to do some shopping. Then, when we'd finished our shopping we went for some lunch and cocktails in the Gate.
The hotel Diamond booked for us was the Du Vin which is just off the Quayside, five minutes away in a taxi from the pubs and clubs and 10 minutes in a taxifrom the City Centre. It was lovely and the rooms were gorgeous and really luxurious. We had a great view of the waterfront from our room, the beds were so comfy you could sink right into them.
We had a few drinks in the hotel while we were getting ready and the rooms had music channels which was a bonus! Then we headed out about 10.30 to Jimmies Bar on the Quayside and Sea nightclub.
The next day after a great sleep we went to the Malmaison Spa for lunch andsome treatments. We had a lovely two-course lunch and while we were eating we noticed the Newcastle football team were also in having lunch which was really cool! Then after chilling in the bar with a few drinks, we had our treatments. We had three treatments each; the salt scrub, a full body massage and a facial including head massage. It was so relaxing and we felt a million dollars after it.
We had a great time and would definitely do it again. It really was the ultimate girls' experience. Thanks again Diamond!
